I have been singing for most of my life achieving ABRSM Grade 8 in 2017 and while at Wellington I was in the Chapel Choir, The Wellingtones, the college a Capella group, and the musicals Cats and Anything Goes. I continued singing into my university life being a part of the a capella group Footnotes.
Singing has given a number of incredible opportunities from choir tours to Germany and Belgium to singing at the South Bank Arts Centre as part of the a concert for The Lord Mayor's Appeal and has taught me many things along the way from teamwork through a Capella to discipline through learning new music.
Having been interested in art my whole life I started painting digitally at 16 and found the medium to open up a whole new range of possibilities unbounded by physical limitations. I primarily paint landscapes with a focus on sunsets, clouds and the ocean.
I only started polo a year ago at university having never previously ridden. I have found my way in the sport quickly progressing and competing for Durham University in multiple tournaments winning the division at SUPA University Challenge, The Gate Burton Spring Tournament, and The St Andrews Charity Polo Tournament.
I am now treasurer of the polo club having been elected at the end of last year and aim to play my part in continuing to grow the sport at Durham University making it more inclusive and accessible and cement the University as one of the best in the country at the sport.
I have been shooting since I started at Wellington College and was the college rifle team captain during one of two years that we won the Ashburton Shield, the largest prize in school rifle shooting.
I have been on two rifle tours to Canada and The Channel Islands representing the British Cadet Rifle Team (Athelings) and UK Cadet rifle teams respectively as well as competing for the England Schools Team.
I have continued shooting at university representing the university in both small-bore and full-bore competitions winning The Musketeers in 2020 and the small-bore division in the postal league in 2022. I also served as Social Secretary and Treasurer for the club in 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 respectively.
I am passionate about travelling and experiencing different cultures, foods and places around the world. I am fortunate to have been able to travel across the globe visiting 46 countries so far everywhere from Myanmar to Croatia, Iceland to Morocco, and Canada to The Philippines and don't plan on slowing down anytime soon!
I was also able to live in Canada for 6 months during my gap year, giving me a once in a lifetime
experience of being immersed long term in a different culture.
