Education

Durham University

I am currently studying Computer Science at Durham University on the integrated masters course working towards an MEng degree. The degree has exposed me to all areas of Computer Science from machine learning and computational modelling to web development and recommender systems.

I have developed a deep understanding of cutting edge technologies and the theory that underpins them and the degree has also allowed me to continue developing my skills of problem solving and adapting efficiently to new challenges through regularly encountering new areas of the subject that I must quickly adapt and apply existing knowledge to.

I am going into my 4th year and am on track to achieve a first-class degree having achieved firsts in all of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years. A primary focus of the year will be my final project for which I am planning on using sentiment analysis, deep learning, and novel datasets in the domain of financial market predictions. You can find out more on the My Projects page.

Academic Year 2021-2022

Wellington College

I attended Wellington College between 2013 and 2018 and it was here that I was able to first apply my previously gained knowledge of programming and Computer Science in a more formal context. It was this experience that cemented my love of the subject and led to me study it at university.

Beyond Computer Science I was passionate for maths and the other sciences studying maths, further maths, computer science, and physics at A Levels helping me develop a strong analytical mindset, statistical knowledge, and a curiosity for maths, science, and technology all of which I have carried forward and been able to develop through my degree and put into practice through jobs and personal projects.
